The board game by the French Benedictine Freschot was one of the first geographical dice games.  The playing card shows the Ottoman vassal states of Transylvania, Moldavia and Wallachia and was played in response to the question “Who is under the protection of the Turks?” Mortier calls the card game “Loix de Hère,” played similarly to “Who’s the Ass?” For the playing area a world map from Sanson was required, which was offered by the same publisher.
