Böröcz gyakran szobrai alapelemének tekinti a hangot. A Tremor+ Szélmalom c. hangszerkönyv kéménye hangot tud kiadni. A földre helyezett, kerek papírtárgyak tulajdonképpen dobként megszólaltatható hangszerek (Akusztikus rajzok). Felületükön a Leitz & Fuchs című performanszhoz készült vázlatrajzok láthatók.

Böröcz often regards sound as an integral part of his sculpture. The figures of his sculptural installation, The Hanged, are also instruments, as is one of his wooden books, Tremor & Windmill, which can be used to make sounds; András Dés actually played it at Böröcz’s exhibition in the Petőfi Literary Museum in 2009. A set of drums made of found objects & paper (Acoustic Drawings) are both drawings and drums; their surface bears the sketches made for Böröcz’s performance titled Leitz & Fuchs.

Both his Wagon and Noisemakers can be considered percussion instruments, reminiscent of how during the Purim festival, Jews use noisemakers when the name of Haman is uttered (in this way the name cannot be heard and thus Haman is ’stomped out’). At the same time Böröcz also evokes the sounds of the trains and the people transported to the concentration camps.
